Accessibility Statement

General

Hope Found Boston strives to ensure that its services are accessible to people with disabilities. Hope Found Boston has invested a significant amount of resources to help ensure that its website is made easier to use and more accessible for people with disabilities, with the strong belief that every person has the right to live with dignity, equality, comfort and independence.

Hope Found Boston team is continually working to improve the accessibility of www.hopefoundboston.org for people with disabilities. If you have any questions or the site does not need your needs, please email us at [email protected].

I will do whatever I reasonably can to make this page accessible, however, I am running a small business with limited time and resources. AKA, it’s just my husband and I managing the business with two small boys running around asking for our attention constantly. We are doing our best to work on accessibility as quickly as possible, so we ask for a bit of patience and grace as we improve the site.

Accessibility

Disclaimer

Hope Found Boston continues its efforts to constantly improve the accessibility of its site and services in the belief that it is our collective moral obligation to allow seamless, accessible and unhindered use also for those of us with disabilities.

Despite our efforts to make all pages and content are fully accessible, some content may not have yet been fully adapted to the strictest accessibility standards. Improving accessibility is a work in progress.

Improvements

We are currently working on addressing accessibility standards on the site. You can review our progress and upcoming projects below.

Headers: We are currently working on updating the headers on our site to meet WCAG guidelines.

Images: We are currently working on adding and updating image alt text for all alt text across the site.

Videos: We are currently working on adding captions to all videos on Hope Found Boston.

Audit: I have reached out to an accessibility expert for a site audit. Once the audit is complete, I will continue to improve the accessibility of www.hopefoundboston.org based on their findings.

Colors: We are aware that there are low-contract color errors on the site. We are currently in the process of revamping our brand and website colors to address this issue.
