Wellness
hopeFound's Wellness Initiative integrates a holistic approach to recovery into our post-detox programs for both men and women.
Recovery is about more than staying sober. It is a lifelong process of making positive changes in personal lifestyle to prevent future relapse and promote health and wellness.
For many hopeFound clients, who have been chronically homeless with repeated experiences of trauma and loss, wellness is missing.
The Wellness Initiative addresses this gap, introducing the six components of wellness: physical, intellectual, social, emotional, and spiritual aspects of a client's life. Current hopeFound Wellness programs include the Bulldog Running Club, Reiki, mediation, self-esteem and wellness classes, craft and makeover groups, on-site classical music performances and art therapy such as The Suitcase Project.
The Tomforhde Foundation and a host of individual donors have stepped forward as supporters. If you would like to support The Wellness Initiative, contact development, or make a gift today. |
