IMPACT Employment Services
IMPACT Employment Services supports more than 400 homeless men and women each year with securing, retaining and upgrading a job. On average, IMPACT clients earn $11.01 per hour.
IMPACT Employment Services also supports two additional special initiatives:
- Project TEAM: Links over 100 clients per year with food stamps and employment resources
- Young Adult Initiative: Assists 50 homeless young adults, ages 18-24, with specialized support to find and retain jobs
The program is recognized as a Best Practice in Employment Services by the National Alliance to End Homelessness.
IMPACT Provides:
- Skills assessment
- Employment counseling and career coaching
- Job search
- Workplace skill development including basic computer proficiency
- Job training referrals
- Career Resource Room
- Client support E-mail, voice mail, PO boxes, clothing, and transportation assistance
- 6-month job retention support
