hopeFound Elected New Board Members — Awards Community Champions at 2008 Annual Meeting

At its December 2, 2008 Annual Meeting, the hopeFound Board of Directors elected two new members: Laura D’Amato of Goulston & Storrs and Alicemarie Hand, of PriceWaterhouse Coopers. Patrick A. T. Lee of Trinity Financial and Matthew Power of Lexington Insurance, retiring board members, were thanked for their years of service.

2008 Community Champions

The evening’s program included a presentation of the annual Community Champion Awards by Mary Nee, Executive Director, to volunteers and partners.

Stephen Skinner, current board Vice President and Director of Marketing at the Public Consulting Group for providing long time support and leadership to hopeFound.

Lisa Price, of the Hope Church of Roslindale Social Justice Committee, and Wendy Olapade, Interim Pastor, accepted the award on behalf of a church volunteer group supporting the “make-over” of the Kitty Dukakis Treatment Center for Women with funding for a model room.

Marilyn O’Sullivan accepted the award on behalf of the Boston Housing Authority (BHA) staff who partnered with hopeFound staff to move 79 adults who were homeless street dwellers into housing.

Jack Eiferman accepted the award on behalf of Goulston & Storrs for its generous support of hopeFound with pro bono legal services.
